Oh-so-feminine
Somedays, I'm just feeling especially girly. Take today:
- pink velvet blazer
- long black ruffley skirt
- shiny black boots
- long purple scarf
- pink lip gloss
- buying lead pipes and fittings at Home Depot
I tell you, it's good to be a girl.
A geeky girl living in the big city, making her way, the only way she knows how... no wait, that's The Dukes of Hazzard. Who am I again? Oh yeah, a pop culture obsessed writer, publishing person, and occasional nerd. And I'm getting married. I talk about that, too.

Lead Pipes?
Do they still make lead pipes?

Ok, fine, galvanized steel or whatever. They're heavy, ok?
Man!

Mostly that laughing was over the girly girlness...That coupled with picturing you being girly while hauling pipes and fittings though the City.
It is a very NYC woman image. You might need a photo of this.
You did remember the teflon tape?

Okay, the question that comes to mind is "Why are you buying piping?"
Suddenly taking up the fine art of 'strange metal modern art sculpture'? Appliance break down? Going 'heavy metal' when it came to garlands for the Christmas tree?

Kinda got it right on the first guess, Hythian! I'm making candlesticks out of them. If these first four pairs turn out well, I'll probably make a bunch more for other folks' Christmas presents. I get crafty this time of year!

There's two now. Two!! One right next to Bloomingdale's.

You know, if you make candlesticks out of lead pipes, you're going to confuse anyone who tries to kill Col. Mustard...

You just wait until you see the cards I make to go with them...
I'm so glad all my blog readers are totally on my save wavelength. Or maybe frightened. Glad or frightened -- I get those two confused sometimes!

Well...
As long as she doesn't put the knife on a rope.... ;P

I bet the floors of the Home Depot next to Bloomingdale's are much cleaner than the one we've got here that sits between Dick's Sporting Goods and the Mall...

Or a wrench-mounted-revolver.
Designed my the Sears home improvement department to get those bolts tightened in those dangerous dark alleys with muggers...
