A geeky girl living in the big city, making her way, the only way she knows how... no wait, that's The Dukes of Hazzard. Who am I again? Oh yeah, a pop culture obsessed writer, publishing person, and occasional nerd. And I'm getting married. I talk about that, too.

Who is this guy?

Whoever he is, he's my Super Hero Lover.

As if!

I think this Jack Bauer fellow they're purporting to set me up with (don't they know I'm TAKEN?) is the Kiefer Sutherland character from 24. Excuse me, but I don't think he really qualifies as a "super hero." I mean, hello? Where's the tights? Or the mask? Or the secret identity? Or the super powers? You can do without one of these qualities, but not ALL of them. That's not a super hero.

Ah, Wolverine. Ours is a forbidden passion.

It's Puck that you want:

Puck (Eugene Judd) is a durable dwarf with enhanced agility, strength and durability. He can withstand bullets, explosions and high impacts with little effect. He uses his short stature and agility to his advantage, being able to use his body as a weapon, and cartwheeling through opponents.

He is a long-lived and experienced fighter, as agile as Spider-Man, and has been shown to be able to sneak up on Wolverine. He became close friends with Wolverine and the two have remained close to this day.

Judd has a lifetime of experience, and is intelligent, quick thinking, and often cracks jokes and quotes Shakespeare. (He took the code name Puck both as an allusion to his speed and size, as well as a reference to the Shakespearean dwarf in "A Midsummer Night's Dream".)

Puck's one of my favorite 'second string' heroes.

Yes, Puck rocks.

I agree that Jack Bauer is not a super-hero, unless the ability to compress several weeks of activity into 24 hours counts as a super-power.

Cable is ... y'know, this comment box isn't big enough to fully detail his origin (ply me with a few beers sometime). Suffice it to say he's from the future, he has a metallic arm, carries big guns, and is a real SOB.
